Many organizational leaders who have hired Dr. Kathy to conduct this training have found it to be one of the best
team building exercises they've ever participated in. The content positively affects individuals personally and
professionally. An understanding of Mind Styles can increase communication success and lower stress. Your Mind
Style has to do with the way you grasp information (concretely or abstractly) and then arrange it (sequentially or
randomly) to communicate it to others. Therefore, it influences all informal and formal, written and verbal
communication. Learn to communicate without conflict!
During this training, you will take the Mind Styles Delineatorâ„¢
and Dr. Kathy will use focused small group work and interactive lectures to help you discover
and understand your Mind Style. There's no right or wrong Mind Style to have and it's not related to intelligence
or personality. People consistently report that this assessment has much more explanatory power than the
DISC® or Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® personality
assessment.
Our Mind Style explains why we prefer to do things the way we do
them and why some things irritate us more than others. It helps us see why we may be more comfortable with thoughts
than feelings and tasks than people - or the opposite. (e.g., Do you like spontaneity when others don't? Do others
think it's funny because you eat the same thing in your favorite restaurant, but you just know what you like? Do
you work from a checklist well while others find it unnecessary? Is it hard for you to follow exact procedures
while others thrive with that expectation? Is multitasking almost a necessity for you while others prefer to do one
thing well and then move on to the next task?) When you get together in a group with others of the same style, you
will see how accurate and powerful it is.
Your Mind Style will help you see your strengths, challenges, and
preferences in a new light. We'll find out how we and others think, feel, and process information. We'll learn more
about how to listen and how to speak to be heard. Teachers will learn how to motivate and teach all types of
learners. We'll understand what trust looks like to us and others. A new level of self-acceptance is often the
result of this training and we'll also more readily see someone's differences as "different" and not "bad." Because
we'll learn how to work better with others who are not like us, we'll work together more easily and more
effectively.
Principals, college academic deans, missionaries, and pastors have
found the training to effectively improve communication among team members and teaching of K-12 students,
college students, and adults. Also, because understanding Mind Styles can help us understand past conflicts and
present confusions, it can lead to significant healing of emotional pain and personal dysfunction.
This seminar can revolutionize
your life success and work effectiveness!
